Your Kingdom Come Your Will Be Done

The upside down Kingdom of God is exemplified in Jesus Christ, your Glorious King, living out the ultimate sacrifice of dying on the cross for our sins. You would not expect the King of the Kingdom to willing die for others… including His enemies. Seems to be an upside down way of ruling your kingdom.

The Lord of all lords…. The King of all kings… was born in a manger, and came to die for us. What king would choose to begin life in such humility and end it being hung on a cross in shame? When earthly kingdoms are built on power, control and often ruthlessness, the Kingdom of God is built on unconditional love, grace and freedom from the slavery of sin.

The currency of the kingdoms of this world are gold, silver and precious stones while love, joy and peace are the currency of God’s Kingdom. And, we are created to be the recipients, to be the heirs of the overflowing, abundant and steadfast love of God. We are born to become the children of God and to experience great joy and peace of being the adopted children of God and co-heirs with Christ.

God’s Kingdom is one where we will receive complete forgiveness of our sins. This is made possible by Christ not only dying on the cross, but through His resurrection and victory over sin. Christ’s death and resurrection has made it a possibility for us to live an eternal life with God our Father.

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field…..”

What will you do when you find the treasure of the Kindgom of God in your life?

“…the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.”

The result of you truly finding the treasure of God’s Kingdom…. Is that you will joyfully, without hesitation, give up everything else in your life that is self serving to pursue living a life of purpose and freedom serving God and furthering His Kingdom.

A disciple means a follower who adheres to the doctrines of another.

Although you may not die a death on the cross as your Master did for you... you can become a living sacrifice. I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

THE SOLDIER’S CREED

Use these commitment statements, that coincide with your spiritual map waypoints, everyday to remind yourself of how to share the love you have been given by God with everyone in your life today.

Commitment #1: I commit to accept the love of God my Father and live out the gift of the Holy Spirit within my heart by sacrificing my own desires and spreading the unconditional love of God to others in my life.

Commitment #2: I commit to daily give my heart to be filled with the Holy Spirit so that my soul can express, through me, God’s unfailing love to others.

Commitment #3: I commit to renew my mind daily by transforming it through power of the Holy Spirit within to become likeminded with God and spread His unconditional love to others.

Commitment #4: I commit to cherish the body that God has given me and nourish it to thrive, this will give me sustaining energy and strength to focus my heart, soul and mind on loving God and others in my life.

Commitment #5: I commit to give glory to God by being diligent in my career, continually educating myself to excel, having incredible work ethic and sharing my love to my community by meeting the needs of others.

Commitment #6: I commit to invest the earthly money God has blessed me with and be an excellent steward of this blessing of wealth to further the Kingdom of God by spreading the love of Jesus Christ.

Commitment #7: I commit to love my wife as I love myself and to sacrificially give to her by living to serve her and helping to meet her spiritual, emotional, physical and financial needs.

Commitment #8: I commit to love my children, to teach them about God’s unconditional love for them and help them learn to share the gospel of the Kingdom of God with everyone they meet.

Commitment #9: I commit to love others by sharing the gospel of the Kingdom of God with everyone I meet, mentor new believers to be Christ-like and teach them how to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

Commitment #10: I commit to make the number one priority of all the money God has given me as His steward to further the Kingdom of God and share the love of Jesus Christ by spreading the gospel.
